Curzon Creative Pre-School
Jardin
d’enfants Curzon Creative Pre-School, has been an active community
pre-school for the past 50 years. Over the years we have had hundreds
of young children from Montreal West, NDG (Notre-Dame-de-Grace),
Cote-St-Luc, and Lachine, come through our doors and given them a
strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond!
Curzon has evolved into a well-respected school serving the needs of
thirty-four 2 to 5 year old children in a secure and spacious
environment.
Our philosophy is to foster positive self-esteem within each child and
to enhance the joy of learning through creative play, discovery and
socialization. While a great deal of planning goes into the development
of a core curriculum, the operative word for each day is flexibility,
where practical adjustments are made to suit the evolving needs of our
children.
Curzon is a Cooperative Pre-School which welcomes parental
participation and involvement. The elected parent executive committee
reflects the participation of children presently involved in the
program.
We enjoy the use of four classrooms; a
large main classroom center for Curzon, a gymnasium, a Mini-Curzon classroom (also used for yoga and
special programs), and a wonderful music room. This allows the teachers
to work with smaller groups of children to enhance the learning
environment.
